Meet the supply chain
The procurement strategy for the South Wales Trunk Road Agency (SWTRA) has been based on the development of a supply chain of both public and private sector partners working together to deliver the highway maintenance service.
SWTRA has engaged private sector consultants and contractors through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) tender process to assist with the provision of advisory, design and construction services. The contracts are generally schedule of rates type frameworks operating under the terms and conditions of the NEC3 Contract.
Routine Maintenance is currently carried out through the Public Sector Regional Maintenance Partnerships.
